Oh man, how great is it to be one? I tell you, when I met Zoe I knew she had all sorts of love for being one. Climbing on stuff? I’m one, I do that. Receiving adoration and cuteness from strangers at my adorable looks? Yep I’m one, I’ve got that base covered. Seeing things I like and grabbing them as fast as lightning? Pfft, way ahead of you, see this iPhone of yours I’m holding?
Yessiree, Zoe is the full package – bright, gorgeous and fast. And here I think it’s worth taking pause to focus on the fast part. Because really, I’m not joking, she is FAST! So fast, in fact, that when I went over to her house with mum Asha and dad Jack, I soon realised I had my work cut out for me. Being that fast and that intelligent and that cute does take its toll and she was pretty tired quite early on.
So we planned a re-shoot. I don’t plan them often and it was just I felt I hadn’t quite captured HER, her essence, the very amazing little thing that makes up Zoe. I like to think that’s part of my job, to find out who your little person is and translate that into an image. And after a couple of bad weather issues, we finally made it. I *got* her. Oh, isn’t she just the sweetest? Jack and Asha thank you so much for the chance to photograph your lovely family. You’re both so blessed to have such a gorgeous little person to make up your family.
