Seriously, if someone told me that I had to parent my children without their father around, I’d probably be found lying in a corner, blubbering in the foetal position and clutching a bottle of wine. However there are so many amazing women that do this every day. Solo parenting = hard, hard work. Sure it’s rewarding in so many ways but it’s also exhausting!

Tennille and Sam are so gorgeous together. They know each other so well. Sam is absolutely his own person and, although errant waves can cause a bit of consternation (let’s just say that he went exploring in the ocean at a bad moment!), is a carefree, sweetheart of a boy. I got a big hug at the end and although I wasn’t John Butler, I was still interesting apparently. Good to know I can punch above my weight in that regard!
Next I’ll be blogging another solo mama and her teenage son. It has been such a busy, gorgeous time for me lately!
These are just beautiful and it’s such a wonderful idea. One thing I really notice is that there’s never anyone taking my picture with him, I’d kill for these. Just adorable.
